WAVERLEY

Waverley is a friendly club of about forty members.  We like to socialise and have fun whilst ensuring competitive and challenging badminton is available for those players who want it.  We run a Summer Club from May to August, that is open to non-members, every Monday from 19:30 to 21:45 (except Bank Holidays). 

 

Summer Club 2016

At Summer Club you can pay a one-off fee of £65 to cover all 15 sessions or you can pay on the night, £6 per session.  As with our usual club nights, we only use championship grade feather shuttlecocks.  Please email the Club Secretary if you have any questions about Summer Club.  

 

New Members

Visitors can play at two club nights during the league season at a cost of £7 per session.  If you would like to join Waverley and are accepted, you may play for one more session as a visitor before committing to full membership.  Please email the Club Secretary to let us know you're coming and someone will be on hand to welcome you and show you around. 

 

Fees

Annual membership for the league season is £140. There are concessionary rates for juniors and students.  If you are invited to join the club after attending as a visitor, your payments will be subtracted from the total membership fee.   Your fee includes use of courts, championship grade feather shuttlecocks and Badminton England membership that is arranged for you by the club. 

 

The annual membership does not include summer sessions. 

 

Matches

We have mixed, ladies and open teams in the Basingstoke & District Badminton League.  They play matches throughout the season which runs from September to April.  Members are not compelled to play for the teams however there is plenty of opportunity to gain match experience at different levels depending on your ability and ambition!  Our team captains will be happy to discuss match play with you.  We currently have Open A, B and C, Mixed A, B, C and D and Ladies A and B teams.  Match fees are £5, payable to your team captain on the night of the match. 

 

Waverley Badminton Club is registered with Badminton England.
